PriceWatch ("we", "our", or "the app") helps you track product prices and get alerts. We respect your privacy and collect only what we need to make the app work. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
PriceWatch is operated by Okesola Ayooluwa, trading as DigitaAppWorld, the data controller responsible for your information. You can contact us about privacy at support@digitaappworld.uk.
1. What we collect
- Your wishlist & activity: the products you track, your target prices, and price history — so we can monitor prices and alert you.
- An anonymous account ID: created automatically so your data syncs to your device. We do not require your name, email, or password to use the app.
- Photos you submit for image search: if you search by photo, the image is sent to our price-data provider to identify the product. It is used only for that search.
- Telegram chat ID (optional): only if you choose to connect Telegram for alerts.
- Region: your device's country setting, to show local shops and currency. We do not collect your GPS location.
- Basic technical data: standard app/diagnostic information needed to operate and improve the service.
2. How we use it
- To search for prices, track your items, and send you price-drop and target alerts.
- To show results for your country in your currency.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
3. Who we share it with (service providers)
We do not sell your personal data. We use trusted providers only to deliver the service:
- Supabase — secure database and backend hosting.
- SerpApi / Google Shopping — to fetch live prices and identify products from photos.
- Telegram — only if you connect it, to deliver alerts.
- Apple — for notifications and (if you subscribe) payment processing.
4. Data retention & deletion
We keep your data while you use the app. You can remove tracked items at any time, and you may request deletion of your data by contacting us (see below).
5. Children
PriceWatch is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
6. Your choices
- Turn notifications on or off in your device settings.
- Connect or disconnect Telegram at any time in the app.
- Request a copy or deletion of your data via the contact email below.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
8. Your rights (UK & EU users)
If you are in the UK or EU, data‑protection law (UK GDPR / EU GDPR) gives you the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. We process your data to provide the service you request, to keep it secure, and to meet our legal obligations. To exercise any right, email support@digitaappworld.uk. You also have the right to complain to your local data‑protection authority — for example, the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
